Last year’s host is ready for Abruzzo 2004.

Venezuela, last year’s host of the Speed Skating World Championship and one of the best teams, announced their national team members participating in the upcoming world event that will be held from September 04th in Italy.

Daniel Alvarez, Alexander Bastidas, Humberto Ibañez, Fabian Arcila, Oscar Rivas and Juan Jardines make up the senior men team. They will be defending their two titles obtained in 2003 (500 meters sprint by Arcila and 5000 meters relays – Alvarez-Bastidas-Ibañez).

Javier Oyalbis, Enoch Perez and Fabricio Ervitti will represent Venezuela in the junior men’s team. Only two ladies will be representing Venezuela: In junior, Yelitza Mora and in senior Gladian Cabrera.

The team will make its way to L´Aquila on the last week of August.
