Pescara is the
capital city of Abruzzo located by the Adriatic
Sea, 155 kilometers north east of Rome. It is
one of the most important ports of the country
and famous for its fishing, shipyards, machinery,
furniture and textile industries.
The population
rate is approximately 16,000 in the 1.2 km2
city that is only 4 meters above sea level.
The beaches are
always crowded with Italians and tourists each
summer as it offers impressive mountain range
views as backdrops.
Pescara is very
much like the French city of Arcachon and Miami
in US.
As Pescara is
located near the sea, the city has very mild
weather changes between summer and winter unlike
other parts of Italy. The minimum temperature
in winter is around 5 degrees and its summer
high is approximately 35 degrees.
