world championships to win the
Senior Men’s Marathon
in a huge bunch sprint. Yan
Guyader of France was second
followed by the two Italians
Francesco Zangarini and Massimiliano

the race, but it was still extremely
wet.
There were a
huge number of break aways but
in the conditions, none could
get more than 10m on the pack.
Iran did a number of breakaways
to the surprise of the crowd.
Cecilia Baena

Marathon! In another bunch sprint,
Ceci out sprinted Nicole Begg

Peter Michael
of New Zealand wins gold in
the Junior Men's relay in a
huge bunch sprint in the wet.
Ewen Fernandez from France was
second and the third place Korean
was disqualified for pushing
in the sprint. Kim Ju Kim was
promoted to the bronze medal.
Seul Lee of
Korea has just won the Junior
Women’s marathon in pouring
rain. The rain has not let up
all morning. India Kuhn of Switzerland
was 2nd and Heather Richardson
of the USA was 3rd. There were
a number of falls in the race
including 5 of the Korean team.
They all got up quickly and
got back in the pack. There
were only 2 break away attempts
by Belgium and Switzerland.
