One day to go!
Only one day remains until the start of the World Championships here in Anyang, Korea. Many teams spent the day practicing relays and doing a few sprints without making themselves too tired. Some teams only arrived last night and they were very anxious to test out the track. The conditions are hot in the day with the temperature around 30C but mild in the evening which will be good for the finals. Most skaters are accepting of the slightly bumpy conditions with the saying 'it's the same for everyone' being fairly common. Most skaters also agree that skaters with small frames will revel in the bumpy conditions.

All skaters are saying that that this is one of the best facilities that have ever hosted an Inline World Championships and there is an abundance of praise for the organizing committee. The hosts are extremely helpful and courteous.

Tonight, the skaters will enjoy the opening ceremony at 7.30pm local time, before getting to bed as early as possible. Racing kicks off tomorrow morning with the Junior women's 300m time trails. The Chinese Taipei team looked fantastic in training today and with similar tracks to this track back home, they should have confidence in obtaining a good result tomorrow.
