Ostende hosed the World Roller Speed Skating Championships for the third time with its beautiful beaches, peaceful streets and friendly Belgians.

After many years, the championship was held only on track competitions and a new record of nations was registered for the event.

Also, four new world records were set in Ostende like for example the time of the Italian Gregory Duggento at the 300 M time trials; 24.720

Colombia was the winner of the general medal table with eleven gold medals while United States (9 golds) and Italia (5 golds) were second and third. South Korea and Australia obtained a great performance as well.
