My
first Worlds was back in 1994. My favorite
race is the 10,000 elimination/points and
of course, the marathon. I got 1st place in
the European Championships. Next year in Spain
will of course be fantastic. We had the World
Championships already in Pamplona and it was
a huge success. Yes, that is the city where
we “Run with the Bulls” The competition
next year will be very different. The city
is 5 minutes from the most beautiful mountains
and only 1 minute from the beach so it’s
perfectly placed.
I hope many people come and enjoy the competition
and our beautiful country. Besides skating
myself, I work in a sport store. I am one
of the most experienced skaters on our team;
I help the other skaters as much as possible. |

Hi
I am a senior man on the team from Chinese
Taipei.
I am 20 years old and change girlfriends often,
as the girls I have been out with do not understand
my commitment to speed skating, especially
how much time I take to train. I am looking
for a girl friend who maybe also skates so
we can train together.
My coach is Paul Chang (often called Puppy).
He has trained me for many years. I started
skating when I was 12 years old.. I love
long distance races, especially the point’s
races and marathon. I am at university doing
IE I want to keep skating especially for
2010. I just love to skate and it’s
so special to be able to represent my country.
We have a lot of skaters here and I am happy
to be part of this team. |

I
am only 14 years of age. This is my first
World Championships. I like to do mostly long
distance races. I’ve been skating since
I was 7 years old. I am in the 8th grade at
school now.I
want to train very hard so I can go to worlds
in Spain.
My family have been very good, and supported
my skating and help me a lot. This is my
second time in Colombia. I came to Cali
previously for a competition, but it was
not at this new track. I hope to get a lot
of experience here. My coach Marcos has
helped me a lot. |

I have been
skating since the age of 8. I have always
been fascinated with people on wheels. I started
with aggressive skating, then I progressed
to hockey and aggressive before moving onto
speed. This is the first world championships
for me and for Israel. My goal is to learn
as much as I can from this world championships
and take the knowledge back to Israel with
me to teach others. We currently do not have
any tracks in Israel. We skate in car parks
and industrial sites but we hope to have one
soon. |
