In
a huge blow to the Colombian team, Diego
Rosero has just announced at a press confrence
that he is pulling out of the championshps
due to a virus just seven days before the
games are due to begin.
Colombias
biggest star, Diego Rosero Calad announced
some hours ago his retirement from the Colombian
Team and he will not participate in the
championships held in his home town Cali.
I am sure he will be devistated as he has
looked forward to this competition for years.
It has always been his dream to compete
in a world championships in his home town
and now his dreams have been shattered.
Rosero, aged 27, has been
skating for 17 years of his life and is
one of the stars of the World Inline Cup
and is a veterain member of the Colombian
national team. His decision not to skate
in these world championships must surely
rate has the hardest decision of his life.
Everone in the skating world was shocked
by the news.
At the press confrence,
Rosero was assisted by the National coach
Libardo Garcia and the President of the
Colombian Roller Sports Federation Carlos
Orlando Ferreira.
In the absence of Rosero,
doubs have been cast on the quality of the
Colombian senior team now that they have
lost their team leader. Jorge Luis Cifuentes
along with Nelson Garzon will be the new
hopes for the Colombian mens team.
