The 2007 CIC World Speed Skating Championships will be held in the Colombian city of Santiago, Cali where modern venues will be built to host the most important event in our sport.

The Government of Santiago, Cali and Coldeportes (Ministery of Sports from Colombia) are in charge of building the new Speed Skating Complex for which they have invested more than 2 million dollars.

The new Speed Skating Complex is similar to the complex used in the last CIC World Championships in Anyang, South Korea with a modern track of similar in characteristic to those used in 2004 and 2006 World Championships in Italy and Korea. It is 200 meters in length and 6 meters in width with a Vesmaco synthetic coating. The road circuit is 400 meters long and 8 meters wide and promises to be really fast with a nice long final straight.

There is a new stadium for spectators with a 10,000 person capacity. Tthe complex will alsoincluyde new facilities like doping control room, VIP room, press room, toilets, accreditation room, restaurant and much, much more.

The Cali Speed Skating Complex is located in the Unidad Deportiva Alberto Galindo, a few meters away from the Toros Square.
