Unlike previous years, this year who ever wants to train with much anticipation at the world’s venues will have to pay by the use of the facilities according to information in an official release by the Organizing Committee of the 2008 CIC World Speed Skating Championships in Gijon.

As it established in the international rulebook, from August 28th until the September 3rd the use of the “Moreda”Banked Track and the “Las Mestas” Road Circuit will be free for all the participants’ delegations in schedules and groups that will be announced soon.

But for those who want to train and be familiar with the venues before the August 28th the organization has deemed there is a cost to use the venues per team and per hour. Each training day will be of 12 hours uninterrupted (from 9 AM to 9 PM).

The cost of rent per hour is the 25 Euros (track and road separately) and the venues will be shared with other teams. However if the team wants to train alone with exclusive use the cost is 60 Euros per hour with a maximum of 2 Hours consecutive of use. The road circuit will be available from August 18th.
